Would you buy this book (either for yourself or someone else)?

I’m Thinking of writing a book about my personal troubles with alcohol/drugs/police and how far i’ve fallen do to alcoholism (was a straight A student in High school). I’m 21, was expelled from high school, & kicked out of college. have continued to make stupid choices, a week ago was arrested and charged with theft by extortion, in which case i’ve been contacted by several large news stations wanting more info. trying to decide whether it would be a good use of my time to put my experiences in writing. My target audience would probably be for teens (13-17), and i’m hoping parents would buy the book for their kids. thoughts much appreciated! thanks

You should write it.

I wouldn’t but it’s because it’s not what I tend to read. I suppose it would depend on the course of the book really if I’d buy it for anyone else.

I would buy this book. i think kids now don’t realize what they’re doing when they make the choice to get involved with drugs. I too had been kicked out of school. Charged with three third degree mistarmeanors and three third degree felonies due to bad decisions that could have been avoided. Now that i’m in college and staying clean i really realize how much harder everything has been for me. I’ve been in school for four years making up high school courses and taking pre-requisits. I would have had a degree by this time but i choose to be “too cool” and not listen to anyone.

I think that you should write it and yes I would read it. There are so many lost teens in this world today and I think that we should be doing everything we can to try and help them.
This story of your life could be read by some poor lost soul and give them the inspiration to turn there life around to.
Go for it.
GOOD LUCK

well i think you should turn your life around first. it is always more inspiring and credible when the person rises above all odds.
however you could write the book in conjunction with agencies and support groups that discourage this and encourage rehabilitation.
i hope everything turns out beautiful for you.

You are still a little messed up. You haven’t overcome your frailties. A book, to be helpful, has got to illustrate how you rose above your circumstances.
!!
Once you do that, write your book. If it has great reviews, I’d read it.
Good luck with your criminal case.

I wouldn’t..here is something I would read though…it’s called just the opposite. Write evreything opposite in your life. you will like have a really nice husband, 3 kids, and you have a P.H.d in medicine. You just graduated from harvert and are no transfering to england for extra coarses..you start cheating on your husband and things go wrong,,,,,bla bla bla bla blaa..you get the picture
