May his soul rest in peace. I loved him so at 13 years old; “Salsa” was my favorite movie. Heroin has taken so many people, at such a young age.
Heroin seems to take a lot of people that are brimming with beauty and creative talent, in particular. The only positive aspect of that is that it may warn prospective users of these drugs away from picking them up.
Comfort and solace to his family and friends, and may his soul be at peace.

Damn man I wish I hadn’t seen this! Now I can’t watch anything with him without thinking about what happened. P.S. I think I remember watching this ad in school but I didn’t know it was the guy from Salsa.

I remember him from when my boyfriend at the time did a stint in rehab….he booked himself in so he could weasel his way out of jail for multiple DUIs ( didn’t work…he went to the slammer for a year) and spent a month along with Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols and this guy. The drugs had’nt done him in yet, cos in the flesh he was one of the most incredibly gorgeous men I’d ever seen. he had a casts on his arm from a fight and he was really detoxing hard. Very sad.

Heart breaking to see Rodneys decline, he was a joy to work with, and I expected him to be a star one day. So very sad to see.

Yet another victim of America’s War on Drugs. If not for criminalization of drugs, Rodney could have received help as a patient instead of being thrown in jail. Shame on the DEA and all those who treat addicts as criminals instead of patients, for they are the ones truly responsible for Rodney’s death.

That sucks… Rodney was a charming young man from what I was told. He was a good guy to have in your corner and he walked the walk. He was unbelieveably handsome and had a future. He blew it when he got hooked on drugs. It is too bad and I feel bad for his family.

This guy could’ve really gone places.he got the right combo of talent and looks and also a carisma that you just instantly fall in love with, which happened to me after seeing “my own private idaho” for the first time.
RIP Rodney and say hi to River Phoenix from a lot of people down here who miss him too.

This was tragic because I loved him in Salsa, So cute. He could’ve been so much more. If only????
