Miss Dad, what to do?
Posted by adminApr 30
My dad lives aboard in Singapore and we don’t get to see him often i end up going to a new years party instead of spending it with him which i should have listened to him about because i drank to much and passed out on a sofa before midnight with before people taking photos of me which i am feeling really bad about. What can i do to make it up to him? What can i do about the worrying and forget about it?

when you miss your dad a lot, you could write him a letter{ it’ll make you feel better,}

The most absolute, best, and honest and sincere way to “make it up to your Dad” would be to call him and tell him that he was right. That you should have stayed home because New Years went bad with your friends (not sure you want to go into detail about what happened, and it’s probably not necessary) and that your sorry you couldn’t or didn’t spend it with him.
That’s all we parents ever want to hear…not that we always have to be right….we just want to hear that you now know WHY we said what we did wasn’t to stop you from having a great life and a great time….but it was because we care about you and don’t ever want to see you get hurt or into any kind of “trouble”.
Once you tell him that he was right and that you are sorry, he’ll know that you’re growing and learning in all the proper ways and he can be proud of you for learning the lesson that fathers aren’t the big “meanies” we often think they are. = )
