hi i’m a native of masbate, we in the family has really big problem about my father that is alcoholic, actually what makes us problematic because once he was drunk, he make noise in our house, shouting bad words & worst damage the things we have in our house. I just want to know if there is a law that will put my father to jail, because he was our burden for almost 20 years & also to make him realize that all the things he did just make our family falls apart. There is already a time that my sister cannot control her temper, & she is about to kill my father..that’s really bad our father is..i know that he is still our father, but the way he treats us is really cannot be accepted. Sometimes, we cannot helped but ask our mother if he is really our father…i hope i can have your best advises..thanks

Does my dad have much longer to live?
Author: adminMar 10
My dad was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis in January 2009 (He is an alcoholic) and because of his cirrhosis he has kidney failure. He had to be hospitalized for about a month until he started showing signs of improvement. He is yellow from jaundice and he coughs a lot when I talk to him on the phone. He used to drink excessively and he probably still does now because that is his lifestyle. I am just wondering if I should be expecting a devastating phone call anytime soon.
(I am unsure of which stage of liver cirrhosis he has)

I am undergoing lots of stress. My grandmother just died, my dad is sick from it emotionally many more stressful situations in my life right now. I drink casually but also engage in binge drinking every other weekend. I am overweight (not severly though). I smoke cigarettes. Lately while sitting at work or just thinking about stressful things my heart begins to beat a very fast rate. I try to calm down and I just want to cry. I don’t have health insurance so I can not see a doctor without the costs of an arm and a leg. I get heartburn as well but that is different than what I am describing. (also under stressful situations). Sometimes I also experience pain in my chest but it has become almost like a ritual every so often. I know I need to seek medical attention but can someone please help me on yahoo.

The equality of people or the equitable treatment of people ?
Author: adminMar 10
Gender equality is undefined and suggests that the sexes are equal, they are not: no two people are equal.
The intent is to promote equality under the law, or more precisely equitable treatment of all people.
That is if a person can do a job they should get the same pay, but more than that, if they do a better job they should get more pay, regardless of gender, or any other irrational factor, factors that don’t influence the logic.
You must be careful we do discriminate against people, the blind cannot drive, the disable can’t do certain things, but then again the able cannot do certain things if they can’t do them.
Equality goes beyong logic to suggest that a husband and a wife, these two people are the same as two men, or two women, and this is where the logic is illogical. No man has ever given birth to a child and no woman has ever fathered a child.
So is the real term the equitable treatment of people and not the oversimplified confusing term of equality period

My friend has two daughters under the age of 4. The father of the children is a complete loser and just so happens to be in prison until next September for battery of a police officer and a DUI while license suspended. She would like to move to another state and restart her life with her children. What are her chances of getting this approved by the state? She has a clean record and just wants the best for her family, although her ex is still the father of their children and is on the birth certificates. Thoughts?

Every time i ask him what is happening he tried to convience me its not what i think.. I don’t know what else i can do as i’ve tried to talk to him and my mum is aware of it, but loves him to much to loose everythin she has worked for as she has been with him for nearly 35years. Do bad things happen after I be “too happy”?
Author: adminMar 10
There’s a superstition in my area that warns people not to be “too happy” or else something bad will happen afterwards… It may be true…
Mostly people warn others not to laugh so much. Like they would say, “don’t laugh so hard, or [something will happen and] you’ll cry.”
Now I’ve heard of mood swings and bipolar and other mood disorders that affect your mood. And that was my initial thinking. But after years and years being around this environment I realized that:
The ‘bad things’ that happen are usually NOT from ‘inside’. Like they’re not because I put myself in a situation where I would cry (like watch a sad movie). Or if I just suddenly “felt hollow”. Usually it would be something:
I watch a lot of sitcoms that are very funny. I laugh and laugh and laugh and can’t stop or I spend a whole day with very funny friends. The after the “laughing binge” I find out my boyfriend is cheating on me. Or my father gets very mad at me for some reason.
And they come in extremes: the laughing will be hard laughing but then when I fall, I fall pretty hard.
What’s happening here? Karma? What?
Drunk father?
Author: adminMar 10
My dad used to be an alcoholic when he was in Mongolia. (My home country) And when we came to America, he has gotten better, but whenever he is over someone’s house, he HAS to drink. He can’t ever let someone come or come over without drinking unless it’s for work. Even the people don’t wanna drink, he brings alcohol, and he drinks it himself anyway. And when I tell him, he says he just wants to have fun. He does this whenever we come over or have company, and about once a week at home. At home, when he is drunk, he is SO annoying, and in public, he is emmbarassing. I keep telling him. but he just ends up making me feel guilty. What do I do? He is drunk right now, talking on the phone non-stop. I write songs and lyrics everytime he drinks, but I need a different way to vent. Also, I HAVE to stay home because I am worried about my mom and brother. HELP! And no hotlines, or meeting.

mom is severely depressed; received 2 dui’s in 2 weeks, lost license, dad is going nuts. what should i do?
Author: adminMar 10
so, my mom received 2 dui’s in may of 2006. she has a history of alcoholism. she had her license revoked after receiving the dui’s, lives in a somewhat rural area, and my dad is supporting her financially. she has become severally depressed. she went through 2 weeks of rehab, and was released. before thanksgiving, my dad took her to the grocery store, and she stole some wine. she hasn’t drank since, but my dad is becoming completely emotionally/financially drained. her legal fees and insurance are ridiculous. she sleeps all day, started taking lexapro, and isn’t even helping around the house. what should my dad and i do? my dad is having to take complete care of my siblings (5 & 7), supporting her financially, and is responsible for everything now. what advice should i give my mom? what should my dad do?

Im really worried about my friend and her mom[alcoholic/abusive dad]?
Author: adminMar 10
I had a friend stay over this weekend and im worried about her,her mom and her younger sister.I asked her what her dad is like and she said she didnt want to talk about it.That was the first time I thought that something could be up.Then when her mom wanted to come visit with my mom she said that her husband said no.Then later that night my friend told me her dad was an alcoholic. She’s only 12,and she told me she’s already given someone a blow job plus she’s way to boy crazy for her own good.I think that maybe she’s doing that because she’s not getting any male attention at home.
Her mom called my mom this morning before church and told her that her husband pushed her into a wall that had something on it that jammed into her back.My friends younger sister was there during this.
Anyway, both my mother and I are worried about them but we dont know what to do.
Does anybody have any suggestions or anything that we can do to help?
My mom has already told all of them[except the husband obviously] that they are welcome at our house no matter what time of day anytime if they need us.
Alcoholic Father, What do I do??
Author: adminMar 10
I am 12 years old, my father is an alcoholic. He’s never hit me or anything, but he is very verbally abusive. He and my moms relationship is at the last string. But they’re trying to work it out. Its so hard because none of my friends have the sliightest idea what I’m going through. They try to inderstand, but they really don’t. Its so frustrating sometimes. I need advice from someone who also had/has an alcoholic father. I love him very much, but he comes home drunk way to often. And I want help, I haven’t tried a counselor, should I? He’s not the same when he’s drunk. I cry myself to sleep sooften, and it distracts me from my schoolwork. Sometimes I feel like I’m walking alone in all of this, and no one else realizes how precious life is, and that I want to live it to the fullest. I feel like I have it so hard, and no one understands, I feel as if so many people in this world don’t understand. Does anyone feel like me? I feel so alone.
When do college males stop drinking so much?
Author: adminMar 10
My girlfriends and I really would like to know when college males stop drinking every other night? It really is annoying to see guys drink even when they are doing homework. I am scared that they are not going to grow out of it! My dad didn’t! My boyfriend thinks drinking is the greatest aspect of college and so does his friends. I have grown out of that stage at the end of my freshmen year. Sure I party on weekends, but these guys do it during the week…
when does it stop!

Please judge my old song.?
Author: adminMar 10
Please rate this out of ten, give feedback/whatever.This was something I did in about 2002. I suppose it’s “comedy rap” in a way, as I was referencing dumb stuff like charity shops/thrift stores, cider, etc. and not taking myself at all seriously, but it was never a piss-take of rap. I grew up around hip-hop, but since I was white and was living in a small Welsh town (I’d never heard of GLC, mind you) it could be considered “comedy” in some sense, especially seeing as it was mostly tongue-in-cheek. Although I played this at a house party in Bristol and our black weed-dealer wanted me to come down to a recording studio in St. Pauls and lay some tracks down with his black producer friends. I declined, mostly because I thought I had no right to be infiltrating the scene of artists who’d worked their asses off, whereas I’d done this during one night while under the influence of strong codeine. I actually probably have a link to the actual song, complete with my own production/beat (pretty poor, but I think I did okay with the limited equipment I had and having next to no music talent) and I’ll post it if anyone’s vaguely interested after reading the lyrics (actually, I have now at the bottom; works a lot better over a beat…) I have one or two more, too. Anyway, my rap name was Delightful Arthur..
Introducing Delightful Arthur
A yo, Delightful Arthur is rather amazing
You’ve got nada than can fuck with my blazing style
I’ll make you smile with my comments
Hit the thrift store like a comet, I’ll vomit
On those who don’t dig second-hand clothes
Looking at my watch and the second hand shows
That it’s time for Delightful Arthur to wreck it
If I was a drink you’d fucking neck it, repec’ it
Now check it; listen up close with both ears
I’m easy on the eye like Johnson’s No Tears
Shampoo; a fucking mic vandal with a can-do
Attitude, I’ll batter you blue with a candle-
Stick, like Cluedo, I’m hip like, “You know!”
I’ll flip like Cujo on pricks who are too slow
To see the Delightful Art is incredible
Unforgettable, infinite, un-deadable
(Chorus)
Delightful Arthur is not like your father
He don’t drive a car or watch costume drama
He’s got worse karma than Jeffrey Dahmer
He stays at home watching Futurama
Plotting more schemes that the Unabomber
Eating ice cream, still in his pyjamas
At five o’clock in the afternoon
‘Cause he hasn’t got a job to do
And he’s never, ever seen a dustpan or a broom
You need a tetanus jab just to stand in his room
But you can’t help but admire his skills
‘Cause he’s so fucking ill on the mic he needs pills
Yeah, I’m so fucking ill on the mic I need pills
Bow to my crown that I bought on a deal
In a charity shop in Pembroke Dock
Don’t pretend I’m not, hotter than hot
On the mic, on the mic
(Chorus)
Delightful Arthur, I’m larger than life is
I swing back and forth like windscreen wipers
‘Cause I feel hyper, off too much cider
And I’m a light-weight ’cause I way lighter
Than short girls with anorexia nervosa
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
I’m ferocious, I’m cold, I’ll break your noses
Just so you can’t smell ross any moses
Any more, any more
(Chorus)
Anyway: here’s the link: http://www.jukeboxalive.com/music_listen_286790.html
Click on the arrow at the far right of the “Introducing…” song. It even features a bit of my sampled whistling…
All the censored bits are either “f.ck” or “f.cking”, btw.
and, uh, “ross” = “roses”, and probably 1-2 small typos still there…
Thanks for the feedback so far. Be nice if ppl could say whether they read the lyrics or listened to the track while reading them. Could make a huge difference….
“needs a tetanus jab to stand in his room????” tetanus shot make you drowsy pal..
That was a self-deprecating thing. As in, my room is so unsanitary, full of dangerous junk, you need to get a tetanus jab to insure your safety…
“the delightful art is incredible, unforgettable, infinite, un dead-able??”
“Undead-able”???worst colloquialism i have ever heard…
Fair enough, but I was actually quite proud of “un-deadable” since it sounded so silly. Sounded like a satirical boast – like taking the most egotistical rappers’ boasts to their natural, ridiculous conclusion. More my neologism than a colloquialism. But maybe it’s just stupid. Personally, it was my favourite word in the song…
What can a law enforcement do if a parent is about to drive drunk and the child calls police?
Author: adminMar 10
I have a son, whose father is legallay allowed to have our son for 2 weeks visitation. I am afraid after a drunken phone call last night that his father, who has a court order against him that says he is not allowed to drink while our child is in his custody, may try to pick up our child from the airport while intoxicated (similar things happened over a decade ago). Now, I have told my son, under no circumstances is he to get into a car if his father smells like alcohol. Will the law enforcement community help my son if he calls from an airport phone? What can he do, being a minor, to keep his father from making him and his little sister get into the car? If my son has the court order in his hand, and calls the police, are they going to help him? Or does he actually have to commit the driving crime (dui/dwi) and endanger our child before they can help? I have to allow this visitation, per court order. My son says he will do this, but I shouldn’t have to ask. So what do I do?
