Can my parents get custody of my children?
Posted by adminSep 2
My parents are mad because my divorce isn’t going the way they want it to. Now they are trying to prove me an unfit mother. I have no police record no record with children services, and don’t abuse my kids. My parents are a different story; Dad has several DUI’s and was charged with rape, my mom is a violent person and has been charged with assault twice. What is my best course of action?

If what you say is true then why are you even worried about it? Parents have to do some really terrible things to their children before the authorities would consider letting others have custody of your children.

Ignore them. Unless you’re an unfit parent CPS isn’t going to do anything.

They would have to prove that you and the kids father are both unfit. I don’t think your parents would have much of a chance anyway with DUI, rape and assault under their belts. If it comes down to it fight like a wildcat and stay away from them.

if your dad has been charged with rape, there is no way the state would give him custody of ANY children. he’d probably lose his own children if they were under the age of 18! if what your saying is accurate, you have nothing to worry about.

A restraining order from the sound of it.
If you are a fit parent, you don’t have to worry. There is no way they will get your kids.

Hell no. Unless your proven unfit, they can’t do anything.

Don’t sweat it. Your parents couldn’t get custody of a puppy, from the sounds of it. You basically answered your own question.
